Volleyball Game Preview: Resurrection Bandits vs. Central Rockets

The Resurrection Bandits will challenge the Central Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Resurrection is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Ridgewood by a score of 2-0. The Bandits haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Resurrection easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Central earned a 2-0 win over IC Catholic Prep on Thursday.

Central not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept IC Catholic Prep between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17.

Central's win came from a few key players Resurrection will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tiernan Naus, who had 13 assists and three digs. That's the most assists she has posted since back in October. Keaton Campbell was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Central's record is now 19-15. As for Resurrection, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Resurrection came up short against Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, falling 2-0. Can the Bandits avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
