Baseball Recap: Glades Day Drops Highest Score of Season Against Inlet Grove

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glades Day). They never let the Inlet Grove Hurricanes get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gators considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Jett Echols looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Giles Maxwell was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Vazquez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Glades Day always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .741. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
