Basketball Recap: Northumberland Christian Comes Up Short

Northumberland Christian was the 63-53 winner over Weatherly when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Northumberland Christian Warriors fell 58-47 to Weatherly on Wednesday.

Ian Mckeegan was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine assists for Weatherly. Mckeegan also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Weatherly is 5-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Corbin Wagner, who went 5-for-11 en route to 15 points and three steals.

Northumberland Christian now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Weatherly, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.

Northumberland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Weatherly, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m.
