Basketball Recap: Mandeville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mandeville was the 54-34 winner over French Settlement when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Skippers were dealt a 65-36 defeat at the hands of the Lions on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Mandeville lost, don't look at Alanna Benoit. Despite the final result, she went 10-for-18 on her way to 26 points. That was a full 72.2% of the Skippers' points, marking the tenth time in a row Benoit has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Mandeville's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for French Settlement, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mandeville will venture away from home to challenge Ponchatoula at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for French Settlement, they will head out to square off against Amite at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
