Recap: Carroll Cougars vs. Northwestern Tigers
The Carroll Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Northwestern 59-31 at home. The win was nothing new for Carroll as they're now sitting on six straight.
It was another big night for Alli Harness, who scored 26 points along with eight assists and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Carroll's points. Another player making a difference was Madison Wagner, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Carroll pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.6 points. As for Northwestern, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will be home for the holidays to greet University at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully University focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday. Northwestern will be home for the holidays to greet Kokomo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Kokomo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
