Baseball Recap: Irvin Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Irvin and Tornillo, and Irvin kept the tradition alive. The Irvin Rockets lost 13-3 to the Tornillo Coyotes on Tuesday. The Rockets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Coyotes earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Robert Quimiro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Tornillo, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Looking ahead, Irvin will challenge Cathedral at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tornillo, they will square off against Hanks at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
