Basketball Game Preview: North Atlanta Warriors vs. Chapel Hill Panthers

The North Atlanta Warriors and the Chapel Hill Panthers will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

While North Atlanta didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Forsyth Central last Friday, sneaking past 50-47. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three points.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill humbled Westinghouse with a 62-22 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 33 points or more this season.

Chapel Hill is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points per game. As for North Atlanta, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

North Atlanta beat Chapel Hill 44-32 in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Atlanta since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
