Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Christian). They put the hurt on the Calvert Trojans with a sharp 59-39 victory on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Roman Escobar was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 60% from the field to rack up 16 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dean Feigleson, who posted nine points and four steals.

Cypress Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Calvert, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Cypress Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Trinity at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvert, they have already played their next contest, a 60-39 defeat against Somerville on the 12th.
