Basketball Recap: First Presbyterian Day Falls Short of Stratford Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact First Presbyterian Day can now relate to. They fell 60-48 to the Stratford Academy Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Eagles are ranked 44th).

First Presbyterian Day has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season. The victory (which was Stratford Academy's tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-2.

First Presbyterian Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stratford Academy, they will square off against St. Anne-Pacelli at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Anne-Pacelli's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
