Basketball Recap: Glenbard South Comes Up Short

Glenbard South was the 53-45 winner over West Aurora when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Glenbard South Raiders took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Aurora Blackhawks on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 152nd).

Glenbard South's loss dropped their record down to 25-3. As for West Aurora, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Glenbard South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Aurora, they are taking a road trip to take on Neuqua Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neuqua Valley has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while West Aurora will come in with ten straight victories.
