Soccer Recap: Great Bridge Takes a Loss

Great Bridge entered their match against Hickory on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wildcats fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 1-0. Great Bridge were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hickory apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Great Bridge's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-2. As for Hickory, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Great Bridge has already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Lakeland on the 1st. As for Hickory, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Deep Creek on the 1st.
