Softball Recap: Sissonville Gets the Win

Sissonville's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Ripley Vikings 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 back in March.

Kinzee Hiinkley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last nine matches.

On the hitting side, Allyson Jarrett was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Sissonville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-16 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Ripley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

As of now, neither Sissonville nor Ripley have any future games scheduled.
