Softball Recap: Lake George Lakers vs. Granville Golden Horde

Lake George extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They came up short against the Granville Golden Horde, falling 15-2. The Lakers were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Horde from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Lake George saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mollie Johnson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

As for Granville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The result was nothing new for the Golden Horde, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caroline Baker, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Lillian Baker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
