Baseball Recap: Passaic Victorious

Passaic got themselves on the board against Snyder on Thursday, but Snyder never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since April 16th.

Not much got past Angel Mora, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Snyder off the board. Mora also tossed no walks, which is notable because Passaic is 3-1-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Passaic secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Franklin Pena, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

The win made it two in a row for Passaic and bumps their season record up to 9-9-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Snyder, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Passaic will square off against Fair Lawn at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Snyder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
