Volleyball Recap: Alleman Comes Up Short

Alleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Moline United Panthers. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Moline United to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alaina Ketner, who had 12 digs and one assist. Ketner is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Mackenzie Richter was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

Alleman's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for East Moline United, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Alleman has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Monmouth-Roseville on the 4th. As for East Moline United, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Rockridge on the 4th.
