Softball Recap: Desert Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against San Jacinto Leadership Academy

Desert Christian Academy barely beat San Jacinto Leadership Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Conquerors were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Lions on Wednesday. The Conquerors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Sydney Patterson, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kiley Beyal also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Desert Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .583 or higher in three consecutive games.

Desert Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Desert Christian Academy will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against California Military Institute at 3:15 p.m. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sherman Indian at 3:15 p.m. on the 28th.
