Oak Ridge waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Campbell County Cougars get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by ten runs or more this season.

Kam Welch made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Whit Renegar was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Mikee Teasley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Oak Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Oak Ridge pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Campbell County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oak Ridge beat the Cougars by a score of 24-0 later that day.
