Volleyball Recap: Snow Canyon Comes Up Short

Snow Canyon lost against Desert Hills on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Thunder. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Snow Canyon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Desert Hills work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Snow Canyon's offense was headlined by Nathan Harris and Isaac Jaster, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from John Linden and his 26 assists. Harris was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Kai James went supernova For Desert Hills., getting 23 digs and two aces. James is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 18 or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kolu Afualo, who had 14 assists and five digs.

Snow Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Desert Hills, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Snow Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Pine View on the 29th. As for Desert Hills, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Cedar on the 29th.
