Cardinal Mooney had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Bolles Bulldogs by a score of 64-54 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won 17 games in a row.

Cardinal Mooney was led to victory by Madi Mignery and Kali Barrett. Mignery dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards, while Barrett dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Barrett's morning made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Sy'Monique Simon, who posted 11 points.

Despite the defeat, Bolles had strong showings from Evie Freeman, who shot 47% from the field en route to 21 points and five rebounds, and Presley Norman, who scored 15 points. Terrell McCoy was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

Cardinal Mooney's record now sits at 24-9. As for Bolles, they moved to 25-6 with that loss, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.
