Laney put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They breezed past the Glenn Hills Spartans to the tune of 52-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Tiquavious Kemp threw for 62 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing. On the ground, Kelvin Labord rushed for 33 yards and one score.

Laney's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Glenn Hills, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Laney will square off against rival Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildcats 9.7, the Bears 14.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Glenn Hills is set to challenge their familiar foe Josey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
