Baseball Recap: Chenango Valley Comes Up Short

Chenango Valley lost against Windsor Central back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors fell just short of the Black Knights by a score of 5-4.

Chenango Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Gianisis, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Chenango Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Windsor Central, they pushed their record up to 5-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Chenango Valley will host Norwich at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Purple Tornado at the right time seeing as the Purple Tornado are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Windsor Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Spencer-Van Etten at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
