Football Game Preview: Gordon Lee Trojans vs. Armuchee Indians

The Gordon Lee Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Armuchee Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gordon Lee has three straight wins, Armuchee has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Gordon Lee humbled Dade County with a 42-7 victory. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Among those leading the charge was Dustin Day, who threw for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Gordon Lee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 352 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Armuchee fell victim to Coosa and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Eagles 34-0.

Armuchee's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gordon Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Gordon Lee against Armuchee in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
