Milby and Galena Park are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2022, but not for long. The Buffs will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

After dropping their season opener at home, Galena Park is headed out to face a Buffs squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Milby was beaten by Washington 111-49 on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Milby's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Delani Pestaina, who posted 14 points, and Manuel Zapata, who put up nine points and seven boards. Isaiah Washington was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Galena Park had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Westside and fell 80-41. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Milby couldn't quite finish off Galena Park in their previous matchup back in January and fell 49-46. Can the Buffs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
