Baseball Recap: South Brunswick Takes a Loss

South Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-3 to the East Brunswick Bears. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Collin Perna made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Peyton Lynch also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

South Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for East Brunswick, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, South Brunswick will square off against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Brunswick will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' matchup: after the Vikings faces off against the Falcons, they'll take on East Brunswick again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
