Basketball Recap: Walkersville Lions vs. Williamsport Wildcats
If Walkersville was riding high fresh off their 67-25 takedown of Boonsboro last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Walkersville Lions fell to the Williamsport Wildcats 47-43. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-30 back in January.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Liyana Goukoye, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 12 points and seven rebounds. Mia Ogg was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.
Walkersville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Williamsport, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
