Jesuit's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trent Teeling, who picked up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those 298 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Flaherty. Eli Pearl was Flaherty's top target, picking up 172 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Port Charlotte, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Jesuit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Port Charlotte, they will square off against Naples at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Port Charlotte is on a six-game streak of home wins, Naples a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
