Curlew posted their closest win since October 5, 2024 on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Inchelium Hornets 3-2. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Hornets on their court since March 1, 2021.

Curlew's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Inchelium, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Curlew will challenge Republic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Inchelium, they will square off against Northport at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
