While Southern Lee's win against Jordan-Matthews wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Jets 55-53. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Jets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Jordan-Matthews' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaeon Auguste, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. With that strong performance, Auguste is now averaging an impressive 2.3 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Mitchell, who posted 17 points.

Southern Lee's record now sits at 3-0. As for Jordan-Matthews, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Southern Lee will be playing in front of their home fans against Richmond Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jordan-Matthews, they will square off against Central Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
