Basketball Game Preview: Nease Panthers vs. Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles

The Nease Panthers will take on the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Nease faced off against Impact Christian Academy on Saturday. Nease was beaten by Impact Christian Academy 71-37. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Lions are ranked 50th).

Langston Hackworth put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 11 points. Luke Lindsay was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Episcopal School of Jacksonville blew past Trinity Christian Academy, posting a 68-32 victory.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Nease, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Nease came up short against Episcopal School of Jacksonville when the teams last played back in January of 2015, falling 43-31. Can Nease avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
