Baseball Recap: Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against John Ehret last Thursday, Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the L.W. Higgins Hurricanes on Friday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 19-10.

Gavin Gibson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-2 (and 6-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Smith, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
