There's no place like home for Pecatonica, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past Winnebago 2-1. The win continues a trend for Pecatonica in their matchups with Winnebago: they've now won three in a row.

Pecatonica got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-13, 32-30.

Brianna Carden paced Pecatonica's offense, picking up eight kills. Carden got some help from Sophie Fitzanko and her six assists. Carden was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pecatonica now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Winnebago, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season.

Pecatonica has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Byron on the 3rd. As for Winnebago, they will head out on the road to take on Rockford Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
