Volleyball Recap: Norwalk Takes a Loss

Norwalk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the New Canaan Rams, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

While Norwalk was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into New Canaan's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-22.

Leading New Canaan to victory were Yume Duncan and Mia Lockyer. Duncan had five aces and three digs, while Lockyer had 11 digs and two aces. Those three digs gave Duncan a new career-high.

Norwalk's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for New Canaan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwalk will challenge Bassick at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Canaan, they will face off against Ludlowe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
