Baseball Recap: Nine Straight Home Wins for East Webster

East Webster had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Mooreville Troopers a 4-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Stetson Perkins was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Cooper Stidham also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

East Webster's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mooreville, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-7.

East Webster will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Troopers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
