Basketball Game Preview: Nordonia Knights vs. Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees

The Nordonia Knights will take on the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nordonia is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Nordonia came up short against Hudson and fell 47-39. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Explorers are ranked 73rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brecksville-Broadview Heights). They put the hurt on Solon with a sharp 78-56 victory on Friday. The Bees have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights' win came from a few key players Nordonia will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bridget Barber, who went 6 for 13 en route to 21 points. Ashley Perdion was another key player, going 8 of 11 on her way to 18 points along with four steals and three blocks.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights' win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Nordonia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Things could have been worse for Nordonia, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-55 loss to Brecksville-Broadview Heights in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Nordonia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
