Muenster came tearing into Monday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Alvord Bulldogs with a sharp 11-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly ten runs.

Skyler Reed spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Muenster got a big performance out of Brynlee Berend, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lilly Johnson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.

Muenster pushed their record up to 14-7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Alvord, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Coming up, Muenster will host Nocona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Alvord, they will head out on the road to take on Lindsay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
