Basketball Recap: Webster Makes It 17 in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Webster). They blew past the Hurley Northstars 71-41 on Saturday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Webster pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hurley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webster will face off against Spooner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Webster is facing Spooner at the right time seeing as Spooner is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hurley, they will head out to face off against Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Hurley will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Johnston will have lost four straight heading into Monday's game.
