St. Thomas More Academy won the last time they faced Neuse Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors were the clear victor by a 42-20 margin over the Neuse Christian Academy Lions. The Chancellors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

St. Thomas More Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but LIlian Marquardt led the charge by putting up 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Marquardt has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Winnie Dehring was another key player, scoring 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Neuse Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kimani Frazier, who posted four points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Frazier a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Lyla Lindstrom, who put up four points along with five boards and five blocks.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Thomas More Academy and bumps their season record up to 10-11. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
