Basketball Game Preview: Central Trail Blazers vs. Michigan Collegiate Cougars

The Central Trail Blazers will be taking part in a tournament against the Michigan Collegiate Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Michigan Collegiate likes a good challenge.

Two weeks ago, Central came up short against Renaissance and fell 73-61. The defeat continues a trend for the Trail Blazers in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Michigan Collegiate). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 91-61 win over University Liggett.

Michigan Collegiate has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points over those games. Central's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 15-4.
