Recap: Millennium Lions vs. Carver Yellowjackets

The Millennium Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 80-17 defeat at the hands of Carver. Millennium has struggled against Carver recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Carver got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Derick Reid Jr. out in front who scored ten points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reid Jr. has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Glaspie, who scored 16 points along with six steals.

Millennium bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.6 points per game. As for Carver, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millennium will face off against College Prep & Leadership Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carver, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethany at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethany has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.
