Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Joseph Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the University Christian Christians on Thursday, falling 11-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Flashes, who until this contest were averaging 3.65 runs allowed.

St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 21-9-1. As for University Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

St. Joseph Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Johns Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Christians surely won't give up without a fight.
