Baseball Recap: Chippewa Valley Takes a Loss

Utica Ford hit Chippewa Valley with a five-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Big Reds fell 8-3 to the Falcons. The Big Reds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Chippewa Valley's loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1. As for Utica Ford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

While Chippewa Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
