Basketball Recap: Yarbrough Starts Season with Win on the Road

Yarbrough had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Walsh Eagles by a score of 62-49.

Walsh lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cody Malone, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Hudson Gourley was another key player, going 10 for 19 on his way to 22 points and three steals.

Walsh now has a losing record at 1-2.

Yarbrough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walsh, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
