Basketball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Immaculata-La Salle had won three straight games and Alexandra Gonzalez Casar did her part to make it four on Friday. The Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions claimed a resounding 48-19 win over TERRA Environmental thanks in part to Gonzalez Casar, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Candy Cruz, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, TERRA Environmental had strong showings from Celeste Teboe, who posted 11 points, and Genevive Cherington, who had seven points. Laura Monge also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

Immaculata-La Salle pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for TERRA Environmental, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
