Volleyball Recap: Palmyra Comes Up Short

Palmyra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Freeman Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since September 11th.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 25-8.

Grace Green paced Palmyra's offense, picking up seven kills. Green got some help from Audrey Erhart and her 12 assists.

Addison Kastanek was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Freeman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Palmyra has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Falls City on the 14th. As for Freeman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Elmwood-Murdock on the 14th.
