Football Recap: Specially Fit Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 40 points the game before, Specially Fit Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 55-8 loss at the hands of the Lake Wales Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Highlanders are ranked 36th).

A big part of Lake Wales' win came down to the chemistry between Kingston Loydd and his top target Kaneilius Purdy. Loydd threw for 224 yards and two TDs on only 15 passes while Purdy picked up 127 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Purdy really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Smith, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

Specially Fit Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Specially Fit Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-0 victory against Discovery on the 29th. As for Lake Wales, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 34-6 win against Ridge Community on the 29th.
