Patrick County and Glenvar are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2024, but likely not for long. The Cougars will challenge the Highlanders at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games Patrick County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Patrick County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Floyd County 11-10. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cougars needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Glenvar waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Cavaliers as they made off with an 8-0 win.

The result came thanks to Cale Vaughan's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cam Feazell, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Jake Franklin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Glenvar hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Patrick County's record is now 11-7-1. As for Glenvar, their record now sits at 16-5-1.

Patrick County couldn't quite finish off Glenvar when the teams last played last Wednesday and fell 6-4. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
