Softball Recap: Dripping Springs Snags Tenth Win in Last 12 Games

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Dripping Springs never let Stony Point get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Thursday.

The result came thanks to Tatum Green's shutout, as she gave up just five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dripping Springs let Jai-Lynn Flores and Sadie Bradford run wild. Flores got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, while Bradford went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Lorelei Gamble was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Dripping Springs is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Stony Point, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-9-1.

Dripping Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against Stony Point: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
