Volleyball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. West Field Longhorns

The Northridge Knights are taking a road trip to take on the West Field Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Northridge is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fremont just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Silverwolves.

The 3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 28-26, 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, West Field got the win against Bonneville on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-12.

West Field's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Northridge came out on top in a nail-biter against West Field in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
