Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Guilfoyle vs. Central

The Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders will challenge the Central Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Guilfoyle will be strutting in after a victory while Central will be coming in after a loss.

Bishop Guilfoyle's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Central Cambria as they made off with a 5-0 win. Fans of Bishop Guilfoyle have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Emma Marasco and Delaney Lechner scored all five of Bishop Guilfoyle's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Central was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Somerset.

Bishop Guilfoyle's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Bishop Guilfoyle came out on top in a nail-biter against Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
