Basketball Recap: Oakes Takes a Loss

Oakes was the 44-37 winner over Sargent County when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Oakes Tornadoes took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sargent County Bulldogs on Saturday. The contest marked the Tornadoes' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Oakes' defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Sargent County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakes will challenge Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sargent County, they will head out to square off against Maple River at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
